DELIBERATIVE ADVOCACY

 

COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING FIVE STEPS:

 

STEP ONE:

 

Select one of the communication ethics cases explored this term.

 

STEP TWO:

 

Identify the communication ethics challenge at the heart of the case. Be sure to identify the decision maker(s) and the competing values and conflicting obligations confronting the decision maker

 

 

STEP THREE:

 

Frame a potentially viable, reasonable, and responsive proposed resolution to the communication ethics challenge at the heart of the case.

 

STEP FOUR:

 

 

Applying the advocacy guidelines presented in Chapter 11, develop a case advocating support of this proposal.

 

STEP FIVE:

 

Anticipate and seek to address concerns that reasonable, informed, and responsible post-conventional deliberative community partners might raise in response to the proposed resolution.
